Wielding more than 30 years of experience in customer service, Anna Harvey Carter has found success as a mortgage loan originator for nearly two decades. Originally from Oklahoma, she began her career in the printing and advertising industry in the early 1990s through 2005 prior to settling in Georgia and becoming involved in the printing brokerage field. Through hard work and dedication, she built a strong network of connections in her community. With that, she ultimately attained her mortgage licenses and certifications in Georgia and further bolstered her credentials with loan originator licenses in Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Florida—largely serving the underserved and underprivileged communities, which laid the foundation for her professional path.

Mrs. Carter quickly started her new career at a local bank where her tenacity and expertise was utilized and valued. Over the course of a decade, she continued to excel as a mortgage loan originator across such banking institutions as DC Bank and Georgia Heritage Bank from 2006 to 2011. She excelled in balancing duties as a mortgage loan originator between 2011 and 2020, where she also served as the branch manager working for Homestar Financial, Top Flite Financial Inc., and PMG Home Lending LLC. In 2020, Mrs. Carter began working for Three Dog Mortgage (dba Motto Mortgage Pioneers) where she was eventually a joint owner until June 2024. She’s been an active mortgage loan originator and a leader since 2006 and is currently a loan officer at Edge Home Finance Corporation, operating from her home in Georgia.

Dedicated to serving individuals who other lenders may overlook, Mrs. Carter often works with clients facing challenges in the loan process, including those with less-than-perfect credit, and ensuring that they’re equipped to maintain their homes and avoid becoming “house poor” by educating them on the mortgage, credit, and financial processes. Her philosophy is rooted in doing the right thing by her clients, even when it’s not the easiest or most profitable option for her, by helping people make logical finance-based decisions, and overall bettering their lives and improving their homeownership journeys. Taking pride in being a trusted adviser, she has accrued a loyal base of repeat customers, in addition to the referrals she receives from real estate agents.

Mrs. Carter served as an Ambassador to the Paulding Chamber of Commerce as well as served on several committees from 2006 through 2015.

As a longtime member of the West Georgia Board of Realtors where she served on the Board of Directors and many of the committees. Her commitment and dedication have awarded her the 2021 President’s Award and the 2022 Affiliates Award.

Mrs. Carter has also extended her services beyond her primary industry and into her community. She’s been active as a participant and an original organizer of the Public Safety Banquet in Paulding County, Georgia, and a volunteer with the Meth Alliance of Paulding, Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc., Paulding Child Advocacy Center, and Citizens for Paulding Seniors. She also served as a reading tutor to elementary school students at Dallas Elementary School and volunteered with Disaster and Emergency Services within the American National Red Cross from 2007 to 2012.

Mrs. Carter was an Honoree for the 2021 Atlanta Neuroscience Foundation (ANF) Pathways to Leadership Program helping to raise money and awareness about the patient care available at Atlanta Neuroscience Institute in Atlanta, GA. Through leadership workshops, seminars and executive roundtables, the program provided participants opportunities to strengthen leadership skills and enhance meaningful giving in their communities and beyond.  

Looking ahead toward the future, Mrs. Carter has a clear vision for her role in the mortgage industry and in her community. She aspires to grow her business and provide support to her borrowers and real estate agents.  She is passionate about helping them make better decisions and ensuring their personal, financial and professional growth. Additionally, she has set her sights on expanding her reach to other locations—all while maintaining the highest standards of service and excellence in her field.
